Xocchiali set out to enter the smart eyewear space while expanding their business into private label solutions for brands. The challenge was twofold: develop a clear brand identity for a new generation of connected eyewear while demonstrating that integrated technology does not have to restrict product design.
Smart eyewear often leads to bulky or purely technical-looking frames. Xocchiali wanted to prove that technology could be seamlessly integrated while still allowing brands to express their own visual DNA through distinctive frame design.
We partnered with Xocchiali to develop a holistic design system covering brand identity, eyewear design and communication. The goal was to create a calm, modern framework that bridges eyewear craftsmanship with emerging technology.
At the product level, we explored how the temple construction could integrate the technical components without compromising design expression. Instead of simply hiding the electronics, the temple tips were designed with confident volume, allowing the technology to become part of the frame’s visual identity.
To illustrate the flexibility of this approach, we developed three conceptual frame designs - Axis, Wave and Legacy - each representing a different aesthetic direction. From geometric and angular to soft and expressive silhouettes, the concepts demonstrate how brands can build unique product identities within the same technical platform.
