In 2017, Frameworks, the license holders of the iconic Swedish fashion brand J.LINDEBERG, presented us with an intriguing question: how to transfer their well-established fashion DNA into a line of eyewear? The challenge was to seamlessly extend J.LINDEBERG’s unique brand identity, established in 1996, into a new product category. They sought to maintain their reputation for boldness, innovation, and cultural relevance while entering the eyewear market.
Our collaboration with Frameworks, the license holders of J.LINDEBERG’s eyewear brand, revolved around several core principles. We understood that to extend the fashion brand’s DNA into eyewear, we had to be daring and think differently. This bold approach was at the heart of our design process. J.LINDEBERG is known for bridging sports, fashion, and cultures. We infused these elements into the eyewear designs, creating styles that resonated with their diverse customer base.
